Today our topic is Success & Failure
In Christ, only love. But in real world, love could turn into hate. Everyone pursue s today. It’s a goal and self-realization. Diligence (we can do, no guarantee)+talents (given by god)+opportunity (environment out of our control) = success
Since we do not know who is in charge of future. Success is only in some perspective or on something but not all area or all things. S people will fail in life as well. Suicide. A life full of peace and joy is Success as well.
James and Joseph’s stories in the bible. James grabbed all things he wanted. He got the blessings from his father, married twice, got all the strong sheep’s from his father-in-law. Reconciled with his brother, remember…He has a lot of success in many things, even fight with angle of God, do not even mention human. He is very 诡计多端，but when he was old, his son was sold as slaves to Egypt. Then all his family moved to Egypt and died there. His name then changed to Israel. Jews, many famous people are Jews. Hundreds of Jews won Nobel Prize. Their total population is only 12000 thousand. They had a lot of power in finance. Chinese they are the 2nd smartest. They were persecuted for many years. There are endless wars, many earthquakes in their country, many conflicts and fights. They were selected by God and belong to God. James’ life is a projection of Israelis’ fate. He got success in many things but suffering all his life.
Joseph’s story. Sold to Egypt, put into prison, interpret dreams, the officer forgot Joseph for a few years (he has a lot of bad lucks, but he never complain, god use bad situations to develop his characters, later God bless him). became the prime minister of Egypt. He saved his brothers and forgave them. He said your intention was to harm me, but God use it for His good. Do not focus on your failure. As long as you won’t loss your ambition, God will use it to bless you. A series of things happened on your path, they are steps to lead you close to God. Do not purse temporary success in this world. Since life is short, everyone will die eventually. Nothing will last forever. 是非成败转头空。 Pursue the everlasting success. Where is Eternal life? Only dead people know where they went. But life could not rewind. Science could not explain spiritual things. We educated with 进化论. Nobody knows the secret life after death.
朝闻道，夕可死。 Jesus resurrected after death. He is the only one who left this world while he is still living. Death is the only destination to this world. No one would escape from it. 50, 60, 70 years, all people in this room will be gone. People are dumb to death since too many people die. Nobody could conquer death in this world. God provide us a solution to conquer the death. What do you think Jesus will ask from you? Money? The more you have, the more pain you have since you could not spend all of them before you die. The poor is not afraid of death. Some people pray for living a long time in this world. But not many of them know they could get eternal life from God. What if God come to this world, what will he do? To do something that human would not do. Since He is God. Like the sun shining, flower blossom, no one could make it except God. Acknowledge God is the beginning of eternal life. Enter a relationship with God. 比蓝天更辽阔的是人的心灵。So the soul is the most important thing in us. Like Jesus resurrected 3 days after death, those who believe in him will resurrect when Jesus Christ will come back again. In eternity, our flesh will be gone, but we will have heavenly body will never goes bad. Just like the relationship of a designer with his computer. Computers never ask why but simply follow the commands of programming. Sin prevent human to know God. Pride is a big sin in God’s standard, which will prevent us to know God. God likes us to be obedient. So please listen carefully to him when He speak to us. Do not try to ignore His voice, command, touch that He put into our hearts. Jesus Christ came to give us salvation and lived as an example of life for us. Otherwise we will only compare with the people we know around our lives. I’m not better than the other in God’s standard.
Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection is a miracle to us. We don not really understand. But that’s God’s saving plan for us. Do not compare with others in this world. But live toward Jesus Christ. All people sinned and fell short of God’s grace. What is eternity? We only know what Jesus Christ has told us. We don’t know everything. But we know if you got eternal life in this life, you will have a joyful and grateful attitude in this world. Always joyful on all occasions (for good for bad, for gain or loss,….which it is a true blessing). True believer lives like this. “I told you, you should be joyful.” Paul wrote this in prison. He knew His God is bigger than death. His faith had conquered the world.
Peace & Joy can heal all the diseases. Worries will kill people’s health. If there is light in your heart, you could live it out. Stress, worries and even unseen things under going, will lead to all kinds of diseases. Guard your heart more than anything else, since your life will live out from it. Working out won’t get rid of your worries. Only the fear of God could lead to a peace and joyful life. True health is from God but not superficial health. Joy is a big blessing from God, and a great bless to others. We all like joyful people, right? Those will light up our lives. Joy is contagious. Light will bring bright to all around. Joy is from God but not from human. No one or nothing could keep you always happy. Money? We often think if we have something, we will be happy. Actually not. Stock? We attached to many things, which make us upset. Joy(1st) from God is our strength(2nd). 主的喜乐是我力量。For those who lost their job, do not worry. Joy is the best thing we like to have.
What if you are not joyful? Keep praying. Lean on God. Focus on Him. He is always our help. He is our strength. He is our light, our joy and everything. He is almighty. Everything is in His hand. Why don’t you give your worry to the Lord? Let him help you. Connect with him if you do not have joy. No one else could help you but Him. We all have limitation. God is our 出路. Praise Him, pray, be grateful on all things (good or bad). There are many lives could not make their living in this world, such as abortion. We should be grateful for even we are living today. Many people died due to different reasons.
We often focus on things we do not have then complain. Be grateful for those you own. What do you have? What you could thank God for? Keep this attitude. Health, food, housing, clothes, air, water, sunshine, shelter, etc. We live to praise and thank God. All lives are to PTL. Living is a grace from God. I hope everyone has a thankful heart. Otherwise we could not live a good life in this world. Someone always put his hopes in the future. But we should focus on here and now. Without eternal life, we fear death. Our current life could connect to eternity because of Jesus Christ. All the failures, sufferings, bad lucks, all could turn into blessings by God. Hallelujah. (Praise God) He saved us from death, make our lives turn into a joyful, thankful and beautiful journey.
Everyday becomes a blessing when we PTL. Caring, forgiving, loving to others become the care, forgive and love from God to us. Lean on the Lord.
